SIGN A PETITION
How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time. - African proverb
Sometimes the difficulties being experienced around the world can seem overwhelming, and you can almost feel paralyzed about doing anything at all. It’s important to not turn away, but instead take one step towards creating a better reality. Signing a petition can be that small act that launches you on a path of becoming more involved and more vocal about the issues you care about.
Below are some initiatives that are connected to the issues War Child Canada deals with on a daily basis. Check them out and sign your name for change!
PETITION ON THE UN DECLARATION ON THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES
In every region of the world, the survival or well-being of Indigenous peoples is threatened by grave and persistent violations of their fundamental human rights. A strong and uplifting United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is urgently needed to establish minimum international standards to inspire and urge states and others to respect and uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples without discrimination.
