We know that war causes enormous human and environmental suffering. What can be done about it? It can be overwhelming to try to comprehend how brutal war can be. Thankfully, there are dedicated people across the globe working to alleviate the destructive impact of violent conflict.
War Child Canada provides support to children and their families in conflict and post-conflict communities around the world through humanitarian programs that focus on education, psychosocial rehabilitation, child rights, health, vocational training and material needs. We work to identify outstanding local individuals and organizations who are taking an active role in restoring and strengthening their communities. We believe in strong, respectful partnerships that highlight the values, skills, experience and knowledge of those living in war-affected communities.
