In October 2004, Dr. Eric Hoskins, President of War Child Canada, traveled to Sudan. Accompanied by George Stromboloupolous and Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, Dr. Hoskins assessed and gathered information on the situation that US Secretary of State Colin Powell has branded nothing less than a genocide. Stromboloupolous and Maida chose to join Dr. Hoskins in the fact-finding mission to bring increased awareness to the crisis, and take part in offering an informed, objective view on the humanitarian consequences of the situation.
