In late April of 2000, Sol, Misfit and Red 1 of Rascalz traveled to Sierra Leone to film the War Child Canada and MuchMusic documentary Musicians in the War Zone. Their visit to Sierra Leone shed light on the stories of a broad range of youth affected by that country’s 9-year conflict, including child soldiers and amputated victims of the 1999 massacre in Freetown. The Rascalz members also encouraged Canadian youth to ask questions about the links that exist between conflict in developing countries and consumer and corporate responsibility in developed countries.
