As part of the War Child Canada and MuchMusic documentary Musicians in the War Zone, Canadian musician David Usher traveled to the Thai-Burmese border in 2001 to educate Canadian youth about the realities of young refugees. His experiences visiting refugee camps and sharing songs and stories with these brave youth led Usher to recognize and appreciate the resilience and energy of these war-affected children who, in the midst of conflict and instability, were full of life and hope for the future.
