In collaboration with MuchMusic, Musicians in the War Zone is a War Child Canada documentary exposing young Canadians to the realities faced by youth in war-affected countries, as seen through the eyes of Canadian musicians. In 2001, Canadian artists Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida traveled to Iraq to investigate the effects of war and sanctions on Iraqi children and youth. Their experiences talking to young Iraqi hospital patients and school children were documented through Musicians in the War Zone and brought home to Canadian youth the challenges facing their war-affected peers in Iraq.
